Welcoming you, you will find our “Mobile Base Camp”, an oasis of peace immersed in silence and greenery among olive trees, oaks, and Mediterranean scrub. Here, towering rock cliffs stand majestic, protecting a millenary secret carved by the waters of the Santa Venera stream.
THE ACTIVITY IN 4 PHASES

- MEETING ON SITE: After the technical briefing and the distribution of professional equipment, we will gear up and move toward the Canyon entrance.

- CANYONING: You will face adventurous downhill passages using ropes and harnesses, alternating with short swims, dives, and/or a zipline ending in crystal-clear waters. A natural context that will enchant you until the wonderful final natural pool, where you can relax before the end.

- RETURN: We will return to the Base Camp to return the gear. It will be the perfect time to share impressions and receive tips on what to see and where to eat around Taormina.

WHAT TO BRING
Bring a beach towel, a swimsuit, PLENTY OF GOOD VIBES AND A DESIRE FOR ADVENTURE—we’ll take care of the rest!
In detail, we recommend:

- At least 1/2 liter of water and light snacks.

- Any personal medications.

- Technical/thermal underwear to wear under the wetsuit (subjective choice).

- Shoes: High-top trekking shoes are the “top” choice (for ankle protection); alternatively, sturdy sneakers. If you don’t have them, we will provide ours.
EQUIPMENT & SERVICES
The experience lasts an average of 3 hours. Sicily Green Adventures guarantees:

- Individual training on the use of materials and basic canyoning progression techniques.

- Full technical equipment: Helmet, neoprene wetsuit, harness, figure-eight descender, carabiners, and safety lanyards (trilonge).

Canyoning consists mainly of descending a river or stream using ropes, harnesses, and other technical gear. Where the water has created waterfalls, the guide chooses the best technique to overcome the obstacle; it might involve using a rope, taking a dive, or let yourself go along the natural slides along the way. In today’s crowded web market, many intermediaries sell “water activities” as Canyoning. Before buying “fake canyoning” online, make sure the provider truly knows the discipline. We at Sicily Green Adventure propose and perform Canyoning firsthand.

- Do I need to know how to swim? It is necessary/recommended. Most of the route takes place in shallow water.

- Who can participate? Canyoning in the Gorge of the Zebbaro is suitable for teenagers and adults. Ideal for a sporty public and for all those who love new adventures and meeting new people. Not suffering from vertigo is a good starting point, but not essential, as long as you have the will to overcome your fears.

- What happens in case of bad weather? You will be constantly updated. If weather conditions do not allow the excursion, it can be rescheduled. If you have already paid a deposit, it will be fully refunded (excluding bank transaction costs).
